With a group name culled from a
suitably bizarre Futurama reference,
finnish punk princesses Death By Snoo Snoo tick all the expected boxes for such
an outwardly odd group.
Turlvallisen Tyylikasta, three frantic, addictive tracks clocking
in at a grand total of 4m15s, is a brilliantly short lesson in how to do it
fast and how to do it well. Even if it were actually sung in English, we may
still struggle with just what the group are trying to get across in such a
frantic, desperate way. Closing track ‘Kutsu’ is the head of the triangle here,
but we shouldn’t discount the subtle pop sensibilities of ‘Vientituote’ and the
machine gun rapidity of ‘Liskoihmiset’.
